We build this site to WCAG 2.2 AA. Here is where we are against that, and how to tell us when we have missed.

The standard we build to
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the public site. In practice that means a visible focus indicator on everything you can operate, targets big enough to hit, headings that describe the page rather than decorate it, no meaning carried by colour alone, text that stays readable when you zoom to 200%, and no control that only works with a mouse.
A few things follow from that which are worth naming, because they are the ones people ask about:
- Nothing moves on its own. No carousel auto-advances, nothing flashes, and there are no countdown timers anywhere on this site.
- Every deal link says what it is. A grid of cards gives you a list of distinct link names — the property, the board, the nights, the place and the price — not twenty-four links called “See this deal”.
- Search is a form, not a dropdown. We do not ship an autocomplete listbox, because a hand-built one is the fastest way to create a keyboard trap.
- Reduced motion is honoured. If your system asks for less motion, the hover lifts and the loading shimmer stop.
What we know isn’t there yet
Being honest about this is the point of the page. The site is new, and we have not had it audited by anyone outside the team. Photography comes from our travel partner, so alt text on hotel imagery is generated from the property, resort and country rather than written per picture — it is accurate and dull rather than descriptive. If you hit something that blocks you, that is a defect and we want to hear about it, whether or not it appears above.
Telling us
Email [email protected] with the page address and what happened. Tell us what you were using if you can — the browser, and any assistive technology — because it usually halves the time it takes to reproduce.
We aim to reply within two working days and to tell you either that it is fixed or when it will be. If something blocks you from using the site at all, say so in the subject line and we will treat it that way.
Anything unclear?
Tell us at [email protected]. We’d rather fix it than argue about it. Anything about a booking — changes, cancellations, payments, protection — goes to Hays Travel, because they hold the booking and we don’t.
